We are planning to use SMS to do client upgrades on our users. We don't want them prompted to configure IM, so we followed the instructions in technote #1153969.

The code installs properly and the notes.ini is modified with the line ConfigFile=C:\Notes\SkipIM.txt. The SkipIM.txt file is distributed to the user computer by SMS.

The problem occurs when the user tries to run Notes for the first time after the upgrade. They get a message "Access to data is denied".

When we check the rights on the SkipIM.txt file, the user has no access. And before distributing the file we made sure the permissions were set to Everyone/Full Access.

Has anyone else run into a problem like this?
